Joel. Some of you may not know I have a little brother. He’s not on social media. But he’s one of the biggest influences in my life. It’s funny. The older brother is supposed to guide and teach the little brother, but for as long as I can remember I’ve looked up to my little brother. Joel was never afraid to speak his mind. I remember I convinced him to become vegan, but I was too afraid to tell anyone else. I was afraid of being made fun of. Afraid of being different. Not Joel. Joel would always stand for what he believed was right, he didn’t care what others thought of him, he simply followed his heart. And he still does. My little brother showed me how to stand up for what is right. He showed me how to love. He showed me how to care for family. He’s always been better than me. And I’m so grateful for it.
