The suffering and horrors that patients were subjected to in the Trans-Allegheny Asylum in Weston, West Virginia are unfathomable. Originally meant to house 250 patients, it would eventually see its number of tortured souls swell to 2400. From Ward F where violent male patients were housed and whose walls still bear evidence of their struggles, to the Medical Center where experimental treatments, including lobotomies, were practiced, the abandoned hospital is considered to be the most haunted location in the world, where present-day visitors and staff report constant paranormal activity, including attacks. Take a tour of this #HauntedHotspot (from the comfort of anywhere but there) which over the course of 130 years had 20,000 patients die within its walls.
