DEKA MILE RUCK 🦖
Finally buckled up the straps and took on a
deka.fit ruck event. Shouts to my mother rucking (you read that wrong) badass friends for giving me the push (or peer pressure) to give ruck a shot.
I put on a ruck for the first time last weekend and did a few of the DEKA movements in a workout with kellysully21. I ordered one (which got delivered on Friday) and I borrowed zach_tait11's plate to fill it for the race. Jumped right into the belly of the beast.
Biggest takeaways from this race were that the ruck division of hybrid is truly a different animal. Your lungs feel okay and your heart rate isn't overly high. It feels like you can push harder but when you try, the lactic and muscular fatigue will stop you nearly dead in your tracks.
I am proud of this effort (22:05) & feel I moved as efficiently as I could. I felt solid on the runs. That saved me some of the lost time in the zones. I have a lot of cleaning up to do when it comes to form & efficiency in the zones ...
