I always knew that one day I would lose my ability to walk, leaving me to live a life with many dreams and fears of what I will actually be able to accomplish. I feared that I would no longer be autonomous. I feared I would never find love and that I would not be able to live a normal life. These fears ended up being lies. I walked up until I was 21 years old. Since then I have been wheelchair bound. The wheelchair that I had feared for so long came into my life and has become my traveling companion.
