Can I start by asking that we take a collective deep breath? 💆🏾‍♀️ If I wasn’t a wedding planner, I would probably be in politics. I majored in Political Science and grew up wanting to be the mayor of Los Angeles. What better way to change my community than to be the leader of it? This past week I was reminded that you don’t need to hold public office to inspire change. Because of protests across the world, policies are changing. Companies who are typically silent on the matter of race are donating millions of dollars to social justice organizations to combat racial disparities in this country. And the wedding community is finally seeing how important it is to celebrate #blacklove and #blackweddingvendors. I hope we don’t lose momentum, I hope we keep fighting for change.
