“I made the road trip to LA for the precise reason of getting what would be McCovey‘s final career at bat. I was in the dugout and used a 24mm (maybe a 35mm) when Mac was in the on deck circle to get the historical importance since I knew all other photographers were going to shoot him at the plate swinging. Of course I shot the at bat also but this tells the story.
