“I chose Crown after seeing the corps live in 2011. At the beginning of the 2011 summer I began my time with my high school’s marching band. My instructor at the time was a CrownPIT alum and showed all of us his Rook-Out show “Finis”. That video peaked my curiosity to the idea of Drum Corps which led to me going to my first DCI show later that summer. From the moment that Crown stepped on to the field I was enamored with every aspect of the corps. It was then that I knew that I would do whatever it took to be able to take the field with Carolina Crown and after 3 years with the corps there is absolutely no place I would rather be.
