Today we're joining childrensatl in celebrating #CapeDay to honor all the heroes in our community. We've all been through a lot the past couple of years. Thankfully, for many of us, the people in our lives have made the tough times a little easier. Whether it be a grocery store worker who kept essentials on the shelf, a teacher who made virtual learning fun, a friendly smile on a family walk, a healthcare worker with a fun badge, or endless other examples ... anyone can be a hero. But how often do we remember to thank people? Or tell people that their smile, kind words or act of service helped make our day a little better? That's why it's important to help kids identify feelings of gratitude. So they know how and when to show appreciation.
