These are the words my father told me at the anaheimducke Dia De Muertos game when they players came out for warm ups wearing the jersey I designed. He gave me a hug and started tearing up. It instantly took me back to when my father took me and my brother to our first ducks game when I was 7 years old and now here we are 28 years later, but this time I get to bring him back to celebrate Dia De Muertos and my jersey reveal. This day hit me harder than I could have ever imagined. The support received behind the holiday and the art was incredible.
