Growing up is hard. As a woman and as a new wife, I lately feel so many societal pressures— be enough but not too much, assertive but soft spoken, free spirited but collected, thin but curvy. I find comfort knowing that all woman find themselves in this dance and discomfort knowing that this dance is likely a lifelong battle. But in the midst of it all, I am so thankful for my mom and her steadfast way of being. She has always danced a danced that is so authentically her while inspiring me to find my dance— to be whoever it is that God created me to be.
