#Repost cofcpsyc ・・・ Student Spotlight: Samantha Anyim ’19 is conducting with Dr. Jen Wright an ambitious Bachelor’s Essay research project investigating negative attitudes based on intersectionality of minority group identity markers (e.g., gender, race, sexual orientation, religion). Samantha created and randomly assigned participants to read scenarios combining identity markers (e.g., an African male who identifies as homosexual) and display a high, moderate, or low intersectionality of identity. Samantha was awarded a competitive Major Academic Year Support grant from URCA to support her research for the 2018-2019 academic year. She will present her findings at the PSYC department’s annual Student Awards and Research Day.
