The team at Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Norton Thoracic Institute planted its inaugural pinwheel garden in honor of National Donate Life Month. More than 1,700 pinwheels now welcome patients at the hospital’s entrance, marking the number of transplants performed there since institute's opening in 2007. The double-sided four-leaf pinwheel is symbolic of the eight lives a single organ donor can save through donation.
