Here’s what Junior, Noha, is up to this summer! Where are you working? This summer I’m working as a treatment program specialist at the Boston Healthcare for the Homeless Program. The place that I work is a respite for homeless people, meaning it’s a hospital with 24/7 nursing staff that take care of people after they have had surgeries/been discharged from an emergency department. Many of our patients have substance use disorders and are seeking treatment programs. We work on their referrals to make sure they are discharged to the treatment program that best fits their recovery needs and that they have the support necessary to transition to a treatment program.
