It’s been a long time since I’ve touched a barbell. Truth, I’ve been really struggling with Olympic lifting and working out in general.
I’ve been struggling with my anxiety a lot, due in no small part to having to ration my medication because I lost my insurance thanks to being laid off (which is another conversation for another day)

A lot of my anxiety presents itself as people pleasing and being the person everyone can count on but it also presents itself as intrusive thoughts. A lot of these thoughts make it hard to feel good about myself, feel confident, and see myself as worthy and capable.

The last few weeks, my number 1 teammate
@rgtercero has really been encouraging me and pushing me to do the things I love even when my brain says no.

Today, for 1 hour and 10 minutes, I practiced Olympic Lifting with
@streetparking and I felt like myself.
