As if I needed a better reason to do what I do everyday, I get this "encouragement for your first day back" snap from my former kiddo. As I start my 3rd year as a Maverick (!!!) I am reminded just how lucky I am to do what I do everyday and have a job that, while stressful, never feels like work because I love it. It is late, I'm just crawling in bed and I feel sure that, like every other night before the first day, I won't be able to sleep. I am so full of excitement and hope for this school year, my colleagues, and my students who are and will become my whole heart. Good luck to all of my friends in education.
