You guys probably don't know this but my class is a semester class and so in January, I get all new kids. This is hard for two reasons: 1) I love my kids from last semester and we have developed some amazing strong as families. 2) all new kids means reestablishing rules, norms, and routines with a whole new set of 160 kids. At the beginning of the semester the first few weeks are always hard. Kids haven't bought into the class yet and most are so resistant.
