My name is Fresco, I’m a cultural curator and creative strategist. I design beautiful experiences for Black folks that illustrate our values, our vision for the future, and move leaderful Black folks to take action. My role in this fight is to train, mobilize, and outfit organizers and activists to build the world we dream of. An example is the Stop Killing Black people and Defund Police masks that took our rallying cry and a seemingly complex idea and made it accessible through aesthetics. Last week law enforcement seized thousands of masks that I designed for activists to protect themselves. This is an example of how art and culture are critical tools in the liberation fight. Ultimately they were released due to the immense support of the people.
