Repost from thekevinpoppe: Here is a good example of an 8-yard sled sprint with a load that results in a 75% decrease (roughly) in his absolute speed. We are working on his start power in this wave of sled work (translates to steps 2 & 3 of sprinting). The slower velocities allow us to focus on mechanical efficiency as we develop our start power- which should translate to other elements of his acceleration mechanics in the next wave of sled work. S/O to b_beck02 for the good demonstration. Long arms, low heel recovery (even a toe drag 🤭) to good hip flexion, long arms, eyes down, drive through the ground, move the weight fast. Blair has been a consistent worker and member of the #DSTfamily for years! Kills his workouts and always turns in great results at the end of every offseason! Keep grinding, Beck! dst_houston #DSTstrong #baseball #baseballtraining #baseballstrengthtraining #speed #speedtraining #mlb #strengthtraining
