Director of #DSTsouth sammyknox2: This might be my favorite moment of my time at DST south. There is nothing staged about this picture. During our youth group a college athlete is coming in during the final hour we are open. After working for 8hours on his feet all day he shows up everyday and works his butt off. These kids between the ages of 9-11 were amazed at his strength. It was a great moment for me to see. We can all take something from this picture. If you’re an athlete (high school or older) I am sure you can remember looking up to an older athlete and thought I want to be just like them. Don’t forget that as you age. Be a role model. Lead by example. Someone is always watching. Whether that’s the scout you want to impress at your showcase or the kid (that you used to be) watching you’re every move. Start by: Showing up!
