June is National Fresh
#Fruit and
#VegetableMonth, and the Herman family of Selinsgrove, PA, would have known just how to celebrate! In 1944, the Pennsylvania Canners Association named Albert Herman the state’s top tomato grower in the 2- to 7-acre class and awarded him a $25 War Bond. Herman, pictured here with his family and their winning crop, was a director of the Northumberland-Union-Snyder National Farm Loan Association. Today, AgChoice Farm Credit serves Snyder County.
