Each #MemorialDay we honor those who have served in our nation’s armed forces. Ervin Cahlin of Becker County, Minnesota, served four years in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Afterward, he built up his farm with the help of the Detroit Lakes National Farm Loan Association. In this 1952 photo, the family poses with the W.G. Skelly Agricultural Achievement Awards Cahlin won for soil conservation and modern farming practices. Today, AgCountry Farm Credit Services serves Becker County.
