I HAVE BEEN FINED AND BANNED FROM “CAMPAIGNING FOR MAYOR OF LONDON”. Does that sound right to you? The City of London Police wrote… “On 24/01/2021 at London Bridge Street, London, at 11.10 you were found to be in contravention of the Regulations as you; Contravene requirement to not leave or be outside place of living. The particular circumstances relating to the contravention of the Regulations are as follows: CAMPAIGNING FOR MAYOR OF LONDON, INCLUDING CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT, TOUR BUS AND FILM CREW”. So I have been fined and banned from CAMPAIGNING FOR MAYOR OF LONDON??? Not for leafleting or doorstep activities, per the government guidance, but for the very act of campaigning, which in this context was to record a video to an iPhone alone in the middle of the street (watch the video of it, over 1 million people have so far!).
