Today is #juneteenth and we’re at the #PortsmouthNH African Burying Ground listening to and watching Chief Wándé Abímbọ́lá, a Yoruba Babalawo and the Àwísẹ Awo Àgbàyé (Voice of Ifa in the World), Chief Oscar Mokeme from the Nmuo Society, and members from Akwaaba Ensemble as they honor ancestors through rituals, chants, African drumming, and dance.
