Alright here’s a challenge for all you hybrid athletes, runners who lift, lifters who run, crossfitters, and other connoisseurs of fitness. The 5-4-3-2-1 challenge.
Deadlift 500, back squat 400, bench press 300, then run an 800 under 2:00 minutes (or as fast as you can) and do it all in under an hour.
Here are the results of my first attempt:
500 deadlift ✅
400 squat (did 405 cuz 4 plates is cooler)✅
300 bench press ✅
800 in 2:05.42
Under 1 hour (59 minutes) ✅
I thought this challenge up 7 years ago after bench pressing 315 and running 1:59.9 in the same day, but finally got the courage to give it a whirl recently while watching some legends
@jack.d_fitness @thehybridraccoon @huntthesheriff @rossedgley @nicksymmonds @alecblenis @markus_frison @jnewby87 @adamklink @max_hybrid @michaelmirag @nickbarefitness do some incredible challenges and performances. Who among you can take this down?
A couple things I took away for the next time: I didn’t break 2:00 in the 800, but I’m psyched ...
