|| The Sounders made a strong start to the 2022 Champions League quarterfinals on Thursday night at Lumen Field, winning 5-0 in Leg 2 of their Round of 16 series against FC Motagua of Honduras behind four second-half goals. Seattle will face Liga MX's Club Leon in the CCL quarterfinals in March, continuing their quest to become the first MLS club to win the continental championship in its contemporary incarnation. With the series deadlocked at 0-0 after Leg 1 in Tegucigalpa, Seattle found a breakthrough goal through Nicolas Lodeiro shortly after the half-hour mark.
