It’s the Wednesday before themasters which means it’s our favorite day in golf. The tradition of the Par 3 contest dates back to 1960 and in the decades since has given golf fans around the globe a chance to see their favorite professional golfers in a different light. The event is held the Wednesday of Tournament Week and allows competitors to relieve some stress as they walk through a nine hole course with their family. Some players choose to post their scores while others take more of a leisurely stroll, allowing family members to practice shots of their own (as seen in the first video with Bubba Watson and his daughter Dakota). Interestingly enough, no winner of the Par 3 contest has ever gone on to win the Masters in the same week.
