Get to know THE BEAST! Wesley Henson is a sophomore religion major at SWU! He has been involved in music since elementary school, from school choirs and productions to church choirs and praise teams at his home church, East Gold Street Wesleyan Church in Kings Mountain, NC. Outside of impressive achievements such as being a 5-year North Carolina Honors Chorus state qualifier, he has taken on a number of musical roles including Fender in Hairspray and Chip in The Twenty-Fifth Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Last year, he sang in the Motown Crew in SWU’s production of Smokey Joe’s Café. This isn’t his first time in a production of Beauty and the Beast; 6 years ago he played a townsperson, a cookie, and a drunk in his high school production! In addition to musicals and ministry classes, Wesley also participates in University Singers, a touring ministry team at SWU.
