Andy Rosen, a South Portland–based artist, used pieces of plywood, driftwood, and sections of roots and branches to construct a massive North Atlantic right whale skeleton, alive with movement and subtle color. Rosen is one of many artists who collaborated with scientists on“Majestic Fragility,” an art exhibition at Bigelow Laboratory that centers on the environmental threats facing the Gulf of Maine.
