Washington, DC is known for beautiful cherry blossoms, and they even have a National Cherry Blossom Festival every year filled with a ton of free events (this year from March 20 - April 14) It’s quick and affordable to visit from New York City. Trains or buses can start at $15 (book in advance!) Best spots to check out the blossoms: 🌸 Tidal Basin (past peak but can still see some) 🌸 Steps of the Jefferson Memorial (past peak but can still see some) 🌸 Hains Point Loop Trail (the pink Kwanzan trees aren’t even in peak bloom yet, great to check out for an upcoming trip!)
