The aftermath of Texas’ winter storm continues to have an impact on many Austin residents. This time it has come in the form of a seven-day eviction notice that residents at Tempo at Riverside apartment complex received at the beginning of the week. Larry Quinn, 48, said he was informed that he had seven days to move out of his home as property owners worked to repair units throughout the week. The complex is just one of at least a dozen in the city that have suffered damages from the storm which left millions without power, water and heat. Many complexes have gone nearly two months without gas and water forcing property owners to evict their tenants. Austin’s Code Department says properties without hot water and heat are considered uninhabitable and residents are not allowed to occupy them.
