Norman-Sims Elementary School revealed their new mascot on Sunday, January 17, 2021. Inspired by the Black cowboys and cowgirls of East Austin, the school revealed their new mascot as the Trailblazers. Malcolm Vincent, his wife Kamesha of rollndadicestablesnbullykennel and several other East Side trail riders rode through neighborhood streets, carrying the school’s new flag as they made their way from Sims Elementary to the school’s new, modernized campus on Tannehill Lane.
