Last year, their son was stopped by a Williamson County Sheriff’s deputy for not dimming his headlights. He was tased four times during his arrest ultimately leading to his death on March 28, 2019. The arrest was recorded by an Austin police officer’s body camera. The footage was released for the first time after months of questioning and requests from the Austin American-Statesman. An autopsy found that Javier Ambler II died from congestive heart failure and hypertensive cardiovascular disease in combination with the forcible restraint.
