A few scenes from last night at Sims Elementary School’s 7th Annual Student Talent Showcase. The event celebrated Black History Month, student talent and the Sims community as a whole. There were several dance groups that performed including the Golden Aces and a class from the Dance University of Texas African Student Organization. Next year, Sims Elementary School will be one of four campuses to close permanently by the school district. The event was remarked as a historic night for the Sims community as they recognized several teachers and community leaders who’ve served the school and its students.
