Mary Schenley gifted 300 acres to create Schenley Park, and in 1911 a design competition was held to memorialize her and her amazing contribution. Victor David Brenner, also known for designing the Lincoln penny, won the competition with this sculpture entitled π ππ°π―π¨ π΅π° ππ’π΅πΆπ³π¦. The sculpture stands outside of the Frick Fine Arts Building and shows a nymph named Sweet Harmony serenading Pan the earth god. The sculpture represented cultureβs power to tame nature at the time. β¨
