Our ReignFC extended defender Sofia Huerta through the 2027 season, it's a two-year contract, plus an option year. The option has been exercised. Seattle ensures one of their best players will remain with the club. Huerta is in her fourth season with the Reign, recording 59 starts in 62 regular season games since joining the club via trade with the Houston Dash in 2020. This season, Huerta joins goalkeeper Claudia Dickey as the only two players on the team to play all 270 minutes through three games. In three full seasons with Reign FC, Huerta has registered 12 assists, the fifth-most assists in club history. She’s also one of 12 players in Reign FC history to surpass 5,000 regular season minutes played. Since 2021, Huerta leads all Reign players in assists, crosses (341) and chances created (105).
