Instead of #ThinkAndDo, our #horticulture students #ThinkAndDig. 🌱 As part of a class project this semester, they installed #plants around a new arbor they helped design at Kilgore Hall. The arbor resembles logarithmic #spirals seen in objects like Nautilus shells, spiral galaxies and the seed-filled centers of sunflowers and is made from recycled metal from an arbor recently removed from neighboring Scott Hall. Its spiral design also complements a rain garden developed by students last year. And to add some red and white to the #landscape, the arbor will feature red passion flowers and honeysuckle as well as white star jasmine.
