Congrats to NCState_BAE visiting scholar, Alice Alonso, for winning first place in NCState 's Envisioning #Research contest for the faculty and staff #photography category. She calls the photo "A Meeting of #River & #Sea," which shows where the blackwaters of the Suwannee River Estuary meet with the greenish-blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The #Suwannee is home to miles of threatened #oyster reefs, which could have a large impact on #waterquality. #ThinkAndDo #SciArt 💦
