Meet Tony Dedek, the assistant general manager for Lyons Hall. In addition to Lyons, Tony covers Tully Cafe, Cafe 129, The Bean Counter, and the Chocolate Bar. On a typical day, Tony can be found handling the majority of food orders for all of his dining locations, receiving orders, and getting his teams up and running. “I love cooking; I have spent my life in the culinary industry, ” said Dedek. “I attended Johnson and Wales for a Culinary Arts degree and spent 12 years working as a chef doing convention center work.” Raised in Ohio, Dedek began his culinary journey by learning from his mom. Growing up, he worked on farms with his friends, shucking corn and maintaining greenhouses. “Food brings us all together,” said Dedek. “Food brings you to the table and allows you to engage with other people – to share, to talk, to catch up.
