On May 4, 1970 members of the Ohio National Guard fired into a crowd of Kent State University demonstrators, killing four and wounding nine Kent State students. Nearly two weeks later, on May 15, 1970, dozens of Jackson, MS city and state policemen unloaded more than 460 rounds of gunfire toward students at Jackson State University's Alexander Hall.
