Gumbo goes hard🔥Who wants a bowl?! . This is a simple “cajun style” gumbo recipe! Found this on Reddit a few years back and if a recall correctly it’s not a creole gumbo since there’s no tomato 🤷🏾‍♂️ . The key to this recipe like all gumbo is the roux! Low and slow and don’t burn it! The lighter the roux, the thicker the gumbo but lighter the flavor! I didn’t have fresh okra so I didn’t use it but feel free to add I’d you have some/want to! This is a basic beginners gumbo that’s packed full of flavor! Feel free to make it your own! Use whatever Louisiana hot sauce you like and feel free to add cayenne I’d you want! I’m I gumbo doesn’t have to be spicy, it’s the essence of the flavors you want!
