This was the day I graduated college. This day was huge for me as I never cared about school but always wanted to make my parents proud. For me it represented a way to pay them back... to show them it was all worth it....I was adopted in 1988 at 8 months old, by two white people, in Napa of all places. They taught me color and all that shit don’t matter. For my parents to take me in, love me unconditionally and give me everything they have means more than I can explain. I’ve been blessed in more ways than I could have ever hoped. I can remember them telling me all they want is for me to be happy and to achieve whatever I want. Mom and dad, I love you both so much. Thank you for your patience and giving me the opportunities you have. I am optimistic, proud and decent because of you. Love you more than I can explain.
