In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, I wanted to showcase a classic recipe that represents the colors of the Mexican flag. This salsa is also called salsa bandera (flag) because it has the three colors of the Mexican flag: green, white, and red. A key part of Hispanic Heritage is culture and food being passed down by the generations. This salsa is an easy recipe I know my children love and can make on their own. Ok, maybe not the serranos or jalapeños...mama bear chops those spicy babies!
