Content warning! The Aftermath of one of the suicide bombing attacks in Kabul, Afghanistan. Abbey gate was where hundreds of Afghans were standing in sewage desperate to gain access into the Kabul airport. According to a senior health official who spoke to BBC news at least 140 people are wounded, 10 US marines are among the 60 who were killed. Footage has been slow to surface because mobile internet appeared to be down across much of Kabul. Somehow an already horrific situation just got substantially worse. Today’s attacks are speculated to have been carried out by “ISIS-K.” The K stands for Khorasan, a region that includes Pakistan and Afghanistan. They are an off shoot of the Isis caliphate that established a presence in Iraq and Syria.
