It just spoke to me and I had to share it with you. I have tried to explain this concept SO MANY times, and people don't always understand what I mean when I talk about 'feeling a room' and knowing how to de-escalate. Well dulehill said it absolutely perfectly by comparing to a thermostat (not a thermometer!) during the 8th episode of the podcast. Even though I really loved him as an actor before, I really have so much more respect for him as a person (and all the rest of the cast!) by listening to him this Podcast. It's a little weird to get to know the actors away from their characters, almost like meeting the wizard behind the curtain.
