Five Black teenagers (presumably all under the age of 15) were shadowboxing/roughhousing while on their way to a local convenient store when claytoncountypolice approached them with guns drawn questioning the area they had emerged from (it’s a cut through in the neighborhood everyone uses — had the officers actually been FROM the neighborhood they were policing instead of clearly being outsiders *maybe* they would have exercised better common sense). While, thankfully, this situation did not have a tragic end, it is a clear example of over-policing and bias from law enforcement. Change HAS to happen. These boys will never forget the moment when an officer pointed a gun at them. Someone needs to answer for...
