After losing to Monterrey on Wednesday night, Inter Miami coach Tata Martino said the comparisons between Liga MX and MLS are “useless” and the federations should focus on other issues that help the development of their national teams. “How much does it matter when Club América win the tournament but don’t contribute to the Mexican national team because their players are foreigners,” Martino asked. “It doesn’t seem relevant for the Liga MX or MLS.” He also called out the strict roster rules of MLS, claiming that teams don’t have enough depth of compete with Liga MX sides.
