#TBT: Before being called up to the major leagues in 1946, 21-year-old Lawrence "Yogi" Berra played for the Newark Bears. At the time, the Bears were the top minor league affiliate of the yankees. Yogi would eventually adopt New Jersey as his home state and have a spectacular Hall of Fame career.
The impact that
#YogiBerra had on
#NewJersey area sports and fans is immeasurable. The
#SCMiners hope to make him proud and continue the tradition of great
#GardenState baseball.
