Third baseman Devin Thaut not only drove in one of the Miners’ two runs, but he also pitched a scoreless ninth inning and recorded his first career strikeout. Thaut and second baseman Sergio Miranda extended their hitting streaks to eight games. With Ottawa’s loss, Sussex County remains 5 games out of the final playoff spot.
