#thevintagefashionchallenge DAY 8 DETAILS. The time and effort that went into making all of these little details possible makes me enjoy vintage clothing even more. They thought of everything. From little snaps to hold your bra straps in place, built in undergarments, seams to hold you in all the best ways, and an air of sexuality without revealing everything...unlike today's fashions. My favorite details are sashes, fringe, cutouts/keyholes, peplums, SEQUINS, and excessive amounts of buttons. I love illusion necklines...most of all SCANDAL SUITS!!!!! Truly the best detail is the "attention to detail". Great zippers, hooks and eyes, and boning. Everyone looks fabulous in a properly tailored piece. It is so hard to find this quality anymore. I have items that have lasted over 100 years, but a shirt from Forever 21 will last one wash. My modern clothes are what I refer to as: disposable clothes. I do not really care what happens to them the way that I cherish my vintage pieces. They stan...
