KirstenAlana and I actually stayed two nights in Manteo. I loved waking up on the water, walking the bridge behind the Tranquil House Inn, finding delicious morning coffee at Island Perk that kept us caffeinated throughout the day, passing by antique shops, and having a post-sailing dinner at Lost Colony Brewery. Head south on Roanoke Island and you’ll find the off the beaten path old fishing village of Wanchese. We woke up early one rainy morning to watch the fisherman bring in their catch at O'Neil's.
